The mission of The Stream is to “redefine what it means to be human.” Well, what does it mean to be human? Humans have long been dominated by our egos and by our minds; by our thoughts and our emotions; by what we learned as children; by what we believe will make us safe, secure and comfortable; by what we believe will help us avoid pain and shame.
While the mind is a powerful tool and we need the ego to tell us where I end and you begin, the mind and ego have dominated our experiences, created needless pain and suffering and caused us to forget that we are part of the oneness. Many of us have forgotten that there is intelligence and wisdom beyond our own that is available to guide our lives and our world. Only by remembering our oneness can we reach our potential, and The Stream is here to help us reach that potential through unleashing the power of The Source (God, Creator, Great Spirit, Higher Power) on earth.
We know there are many other groups and organizations that have the same vision: to help humanity reach our potential by connecting to higher consciousness. Together, we can make a difference.
First, we must realize that The Source is speaking to us through spiritual teachers that are living today and not just teachers who were on earth 2,000 years ago. Our spiritual guide, Beth Green, is such a teacher. An insightful instructor and original thinker, she has devoted her life to helping humanity become more conscious. Through her teaching, we are learning to listen to The Source and be guided one moment at a time. In this way, we are allowing higher consciousness to speak through each of us as well.
We are living proof that being divinely guided moment by moment works! With dedication we are becoming:
- a community of people who are taking on the challenge of living life consciously, aware of ourselves and our impact on others
- a collective dedicated to trying to help humanity reach its potential and to stop being dominated by our egos, minds and emotions
- not perfect by any means, but we have begun in earnest and we have made great strides together.
We welcome you to explore what we have to offer and to contribute to the task facing us all: helping to co-create the world that we have all dreamed of, a world in which we are all guided by the power of The Source, a world in which there is peace and love, because we have learned that we are one and we must do what is for the highest good of all, including ourselves. We are working to create this experience in The Stream.
