The Healing Arts Theatre is an integrative healing modality that combines the expressive arts with the healing arts. It brings together multiple forms of expression – music, words, movement, theatre and graphic arts – with supportive discussion and emotional processing. Both audience and performers share their feelings and reactions, breaking down traditional barriers between and among both audiences and performers. A modern evolution of humanity’s ancient tradition of using storytelling, music and dance to communicate, to teach and to broaden our experience of life itself, the Healing Arts Theatre welcomes collaboration among artists who wish to contribute their talents to the healing of the collective and the evolution of human consciousness.
The Healing Arts Theatre is currently performing the works of author and Stream founder, Beth Green. Beth haspenned some very poignant and thought provoking fiction and non-fiction works that are a voice for God to speak to humanity now. The Healing Arts Theatre is dedicated to bringing selections from her body of work to life in a way that is impactful and healing for both the audience and the performers. For me it was this:
Ros’s soulful sounding, loosened my physiology past the stiffness and stayedness so typical at the beginniong of public events… totally nurturing, opening…I felt bathed in relaxation . ..Then Annie, oh my God , Annie, what a clear , pure embodied soul she has become….her confident joy opened my heart wide. And then into the show…totally hilarious … joined with open energy and open heart….and bingo, I felt so fulfilled to be there. It was obvious that I was not the only one that had this experience…strangers excitedly opened the deepest part of their suffering like it was an ordinary thing to do.
And Helen, so tickled with the success of it all. Then …Christine and the Angry Prayer …it was so potent …her energy penetrating like Ros’s sounding, and to my 1st to 5th… my abandonment and disconnection pulsating …..you could hear a pin drop when she stopped…and then the Masterstroke …prayer 8… the energy flipped and my heart opened deeply past the pain. And Christine’s introduction of you…the perfect pitch.
There was so much energy in me and I was integrating it, so I left the room when the informational section started with Todd. I was drawn to come back, even when I left the building and turned a circle feeling pulled back and I wanted to connect to let you know how great I thought it was…. but I could see you were surrounded and felt the importance of those connections, plus I was busy integrating.
It was masterful Beth…a thought that came up was that the energy that was generated in that room was large enough to surround thousands of people… rider being that a large venue would need large speakers.
